Free Utility Converts Google Gadgets into Vista Sidebar Gadgets
Washington, DC (PRWeb) February 2, 2007 -- Mesa Dynamics announced today the public beta release of Amnesty Generator, a free utility for Microsoft Vista that converts Google gadgets and other web widgets into Windows Vista Sidebar gadgets.
Web widgets, such as the popular Google gadgets, are mini-applications that are packaged in HTML code and deployed on personal web pages. Amnesty Generator converts this web widget code directly into Sidebar gadgets, allowing the web content to run natively in Vista without the need for a hosted page. Amnesty Generator includes an "Autofill" feature and step-by-step instructions to simplify the conversion process.
Industry watchers have already named 2007 "the year of the widget," predicting tremendous growth in the web widget space as companies race to design content for "personalizing life online." Amnesty Generator lets users move Google gadgets and other web widgets off the web and into Vista's Sidebar, a significant step towards unifying this new and expansive web content with the Windows desktop.
The 0.5 beta release of Amnesty Generator for Vista is immediately available for download at http://amnesty.mesadynamics.com.
