New Women's Trend: Valentine Parties Celebrate Self-Love, Friendship and Growth
San Clemente, CA (PRWeb) February 9, 2007 -- The newest trend showing up in women's parties is all about giving. Not just giving the party, but actually giving to their guests by hosting a women's speaker who benefits all the guests personally. Women's life Coach, Donna Karson, teaches women how to balance work and home, how to take time out to recharge, and how important creating self love is in their lives. It's quality girl time where like-minded women come together to have fun and connect, but also take home new tips and ideas to improve their lives.
"Most women have little time for themselves. By throwing parties with a personal growth theme, they combine a girls' night out with a chance to grow and learn," said Karson, who's been a life coach in the San Clemente area for five years.
Because many women juggle these multiple roles, rarely is there "me time" when they can lay down their responsibilities and just focus on their own needs and growth. This ubiquitous need for self care spurred two very creative local women to host a party focused on their female friends. They gathered twenty women for a girls-only Valentine's Day party. It wasn't the pink champagne, chocolate fondue and heart-shaped decorations that were unusual. What was unique to this party was the guest speaker and message shared with their friends, the message of self love.
To celebrate that special shared connection among "girlfriends," these women booked women's life coach, Donna Karson, to address the group with an interactive discussion on self-love. The focus on self love encouraged personal assessment and provoked thought. "How do we put our families first, meet the needs of our jobs, and still have time for ourselves?" they asked. "How do we take care of ourselves without feeling guilty and selfish?" Donna offered the answers they needed.
Another woman celebrated her 60th birthday party by having Donna address the guests. According to party's hostess, Nancy McGivney, "Donna Karson was the highlight of my 60th birthday celebration. Every woman went home with a very special party favor...a renewed sense of self esteem and the knowledge that she could be at ease with herself and the world." This "birthday girl" used her party as a vehicle to celebrate the women in her life. It was a give-and-take event comprised of getting-to-know you conversations, birthday gifts, food celebrations, and an introspective look at how these women treat themselves with tips on creating more self love in their lives.
