Visiting Australian Cancer Expert's New Cancer Healing Book Gives 'Silent Women' Hope

Ashland, Oregon (PRWeb) February 17, 2007 -- Integrative healer and Naturopathic 'philosopher' Grace Gawler has been working with cancer for over thirty years and has traveled extensively to research the disease from every angle through 'healers', 'quacks', 'mystics' and 'medicos' and worked with over 12000 people on their cancer 'journey'. She is currently visiting the US until February 20th.

Her best selling book, Women of Silence - Reconnecting with the Emotional Healing of Breast Cancer, is the definitive book on breast cancer and women. Grace refers to 'silent' women because often they carry the burden of their cancer diagnosis in silence without emotional support. She believes in the healing power of unlocking the emotional and energetic aspects of cancer through a unique approach involving touch and talk.

Much of her success comes through the Grace Energy Method (GEM), her 'touch and talk' therapy which releases emotion and energy blocks and imbalances, allowing the body and mind to heal.

"Over years, our body's cells record every life experience; negative one's contract our bodies. This contraction reduces the body's optimum functioning; we become fearful, tense, stressed and tired; we neglect diet and relaxation and we suffer -physically, emotionally, and energetically. We get sick, "she says

"GEM is not just for those with cancer," she says. The GEM 'talk and touch therapy' (based on the Ilana Rubenfeld Synergy Method) reverses the body's contractions through gentle touch, talk, rhythmic movement, the rekindling of passion, intuition, imagination and laughter. When the body expands, thoughts and emotions are enhanced and our bodies reflect a more balanced thought process," Grace says.

As an internationally recognized pioneering healer, health and wellness advocate, author, therapist, 'naturopathic philosopher', speaker and integrative healing practitioner, Grace Gawler is respected by both complementary healers and traditional medicos throughout the world and is often a bridge between the two.

She consults to both physicians and oncologists about the role of healing emotions as well as a person's cells.

Grace's book 'Women of Silence' covers her well founded beliefs on the causes of cancer, the healing process and also its prevention. The book also explores areas such as emotional anatomy, the healing power of personal stories, post traumatic stress disorder, the anatomy of stress, releasing withheld emotions, imagery in health and so on.

About Grace Gawler
Grace Gawler's 'cancer journey began in 1974 in Melbourne, Australia; on the cusp of being launched as the next big modeling discovery, the beautiful young Melbourne equestrian champion and part time veterinary assistant, had a partner - Ian, a young vet, who was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer (osteogenic sarcoma), so aggressive that his leg was amputated eight days after the diagnosis.

The next four years saw Grace search the world to stave off Ian's cancer; in all, Grace and Ian explored over thirty different therapeutic approaches to cancer from 'quacks', to healers, medicos and mystics.
Finally, in 1978, after Grace's indefatigable devotion, Ian was declared cancer free. Ever since Grace has been guiding and counseling people throughput the world on 'living with cancer' and providing them with strategies to make the right choice for their healing and living.
