Author's Passion For Free Expression Sparks Movement

Reno, NV (PRWeb) March 13, 2007 -- Author and entrepreneur Christine Whitmarsh has combined her passions for words and for business, culminating in an online store called The Word Shoppe where she sells items celebrating the written language, her love of words and most of all free expression.

Whitmarsh said she wishes to rekindle an interest in language in young people and encourage them to start using their words to express themselves freely. She hopes that free expression will create a vehicle for positive change in the world.

"My fear is that we are becoming a society communicating with instant messaging on cave walls. I want to reignite young people's passion for the written word," said Christine.

While the online store is just that; a store, it really is so much more. Whitmarsh's ultimate goal is to send a message to the world about the power of the written word. The store sells t-shirts and sweatshirts of all styles and colors along with coffee mugs, bumper stickers and more. All of the products feature innovative designs with inspiring and often humorous sayings rooted in politics, imagination, religion and of course, above all, a love of words. These items would be perfect for writers, enthusiastic readers, teachers or any American who loves their freedom and self-expression and wants to show it. The store also features Christine's new book "One Citizen's Words", the inspiration for the movement.

Christine's myspace hub of the movement (www.myspace.com/wordsthemovement), her writing company website (www.christine-ink.com) and the online store itself (www.onecitizenswords.com) all feature more information on the movement, the book, and how one citizen is using her passion for words to inspire future generations.
