Bacon Ventures Introduces Its New Information Management Tools for Design Professionals
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) August 1, 2007 -- Bob Bacon, founder of Bacon Ventures, has created a suite of software tools to simplify and streamline the home design and building processes. Bacon originally created the Integrated Building Information Services System (IBISS) to improve the design process for The Bacon Collections, a high quality alternative to custom home planning and building (http://www.thebaconcollections.com/plans/index.cfm). The home design and building (http://www.thebaconcollections.com/rjbcollections) process has many different fields, and each tends to focus on solving its own problems without regard to the other fields. Recognizing the need for improved communication and information management, Bob Bacon created a system that unites information from all aspects of the home building process. IBISS was created to organize and consolidate information throughout the industry, reducing waste and increasing efficiency. IBISS is now available to other design professionals.
Although focusing initially on the interior and architectural design (http://www.thebaconcollections.com) processes, Bacon set out to improve efficiencies in all other aspects of new home building as well. IBISS is an effort to reduce overall project costs and time-to-market without compromising the design or the material quality. The new information management system more effectively organizes information from all fields of work and enables easy access and search-and-retrieval of information about every aspect of design. It also allows sorting and report formatting that will meet the diverse needs of each user in the home building process.
Bacon recruited Chris Hebb of Dynamic Integrations Corporation to assist in the development of IBISS. As the creator of an integrated auditing process to improve energy efficiency in schools and hospitals, Hebb's expertise proved invaluable in the creation of IBISS.
Interior Design Professionals can now subscribe to IBISS.
IBISS is now available to design professionals by subscription. Licensed subscribers to IBISS receive access to an extensive Web-based catalog of building components and interior finishes, fixtures and hardware items. These items represent hundreds of high-quality manufactures and resources (soon to be followed by the addition of furnishings and houseware libraries, enabling the delivery of turn-key building projects). Subscribers are also licensed to use the innovative IBISS specification scheduling system that is integrated with the IBISS catalog libraries. Subscribers are able to add new manufactured or custom-designed items to their project specifications. They can also modify the detailed characteristics of catalog items once they have been included into the project specification. This enables the subscriber to create their own unique coordinated room or complete house interiors packages for future reference.
Bacon Ventures cordially invites interested design professionals to attend a complimentary workshop introducing IBISS and The Bacon Collections. Take an hour to learn more about how you can enjoy the benefits and intuitive functionality of the exciting new information management system. We will also give a demonstration of how IBISS can improve the performance and profitability of your design studio.
