Secret Internet Niche Markets, Information Sources for Unique Money Making Articles.
Whilst publishing niche Ebooks is a proven business that can make you a lot of money, finding niches to exploit can be both time consuming and disheartening if you struggle to find any good markets. In this article I am going to show you an unusual but simple strategy you can use for finding as many niche markets as you can use. If you have ever been stuck for niche subjects to write about this article will give you four specific, and unusual sources for finding those subjects. There is a great market out there for the desktop publishing of Ebooks and articles for Ezines. However, to beat the competition, and to win your market share, you need to write about specific topics within a general subject. These are called niches. If you are already familiar with the concept of writing niche articles, and just need advice on how to get ideas for topics, then please feel free to skip the next couple of paragraphs. Go straight to my resource ideas below. However, if you are new to the concept then please read the following couple of paragraphs for some background. What is a niche? Well, for instance, within the general topic of, say, Dogs, a specific breed such as the Bulldog can be considered a niche. Even more so, the topic of say, training Bulldogs, would be considered more of a niche, or a microniche. So what you have just discovered is an angle on the market that you can exploit. ?But if I write about this very specific topic will it limit my market too much?? Not necessarily, there will be lots of competition self publishing on the general topic of Dogs, and possibly even Bulldogs, but almost certainly there will be relatively little competition writing about training Bulldogs. So, as long as there is a viable demand for the topic it is worth considering. OK, so I can write an article on training Bulldogs. Maybe I am not interested in the subject, maybe others have already listed Ebooks on the topic already, what about some more topics? Where do I get my ideas from? Exactly, whilst publishing downloadable niche Ebooks is a proven business that can make you a lot of money, finding niches to exploit can be both time consuming and disheartening if you struggle to find any good markets. In this article I am going to show you a simple, but unusual, strategy you can use for finding as many niche markets as you could want, Sufficient in fact to generate a library of Ebooks. And that?s what you want, multiple products providing multiple sources of income. Money generated by one Ebook will not be enough to retire upon, how ever good it is! It will not reach a big enough market. But by specialising in niche markets, lots of them, you can write information products that will consistently pay their way. Here are four top sources that I use to pick up ideas for my Ebooks. 1) http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/ This is an amazing resource that won?t cost you a penny to sign up to, (unless you want to buy the more sophisticated version that the website will offer you. Its up to you, but at least initially this is not necessary). Go to the above site and start typing in general ideas for markets that interest you. For instance if you have an interest in fishing you?d type in ?fishing?. A big, long list of fishing related words will appear. These relate to searches done on the internet for those topics during the past few days and weeks. Then all you need to do is make a list of all of the sub niches within the general niche market of fishing. For example, fly fishing, sea fishing, fishing tackle and so on. These are all potential topics for you to exploit. Possibly you would never have thought about this source, but the bookselling giant amazon.com is an excellent source for finding niche markets. Go to the website and in the search bar select ?books?. Then type in the general topic you?d like to create a product around. For example type in gardening. Go through the list of results, and jot down the unusual topics that jump out at you from the list of books that Amazon is selling on gardening. Within in that list, possibly further down the list, will be some pretty obscure gardening topics worth considering. Maybe you are thinking ?wait a minute, how can I compete with Amazon?? Of course you will not be, you are catering for a different market. When people buy from Amazon they have to wait days for a hardcopy book to arrive in the post. As an Ebook publisher you will be offering instant delivery because your customers get your info product straight away as a download. Another great thing about downloadable products is that they are seen to have a higher perceived value. Often you might charge say fifteen dollars for a book selling it via Amazon. However, if you sell a downloadable information product you can often charge up to fifty dollars for a similar product. It may be hard to believe but its true! This is another fantastic research tool for the niche Ebook publisher. This is the website for the publishers of the hardcopy book series ??For Dummies?. You will have seen them at the booksellers, offering a wide range of titles such as ?The Internet for Dummies, Golf for Dummies and even Su Doku for Dummies? and so on. You can find a ton of niche topics across all of the ??For Dummies? books. The Dummies company has made creating niche products an art form in its own right. Search through their titles in general areas that interest you and jot down potential Ebook topics. Then go back to the online suggestions to further refine your topics. Article directories are probably the best way to find subjects to create Ebooks around. The directory, Go Articles, is just one of dozens in which you can go to the site, type in a niche subject into the search bar and get literally thousands and thousands of Ebook ideas for free. The key here when visiting these sites is to just make a huge list of potential topics, and then when you?re done go to http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/ and type in your topics. This site will tell you if there are any people searching for information on the subject. Look for topics where there are at least five thousand hits per month. Found some? Then you?ve just found a viable Ebook topic that could turn into a very lucrative home based business. Now to quickly dispel a myth about the Internet. Pretty much like in every walk of life don?t think you can just throw up a site, sit back and become rich with no further effort. Although many would have you believe the Internet is just one huge, get rich quick scheme that couldn?t be farther from the truth. But, if done properly, Ebook publishing can change your financial situation dramatically. Although it would be nice, we?re not aiming to become a millionaire here. We want to be realistic, and build a network of minisites that maybe each make about 1K per month. So being able to come up with an endless amount of niche products ideas is the key here. In summary, I have given you four valuable research sources from which you can generate ideas for your books and articles. If previously you have had trouble finding niches to write about, hopefully this article has been of use to you in resolving such problems. If you want further advice on the topic, or if you would like advice on actually producing your Ebooks and promoting them please read my resource box below.
