CAI's IT Metrics and Productivity Institute to Produce Free, Weekly Webinars Aimed at Educating IT Community World-Wide

Allentown, PA (PRWEB) November 28, 2007 -- CAI's IT Metrics and Productivity Institute will continue to produce a series of free, weekly webinars in the Spring of 2008 that will show CIOs and senior IT practitioners around the world how to leverage best practices to compete in the global marketplace while dramatically improving the productivity and quality of their software development and maintenance organizations.

The Spring 2008 "Software Best Practices" webinars will include lectures by 50 leading industry experts including Capers Jones, author of 14 software management books and Chief Scientist Emeritus of Software Productivity Research, Ed Yourdon, author of "Decline and Fall of the American Programmer," David Garmus, author and former President of the International Function Point User's Group, Peter Hill, President of the International Software Benchmarking Standards Group, Dr. Robert Charette, world renowned software risk management expert, and Paul Strassmann, former CIO for the US Department of Defense.

Specific topic areas covered in the Spring of 2008 will include software measurement, software project estimation, software testing, software project management, software benchmarking, software risk management, rapid application development, agile development methodologies, legacy systems support, software six sigma, IT project governance, IT infrastructure library (ITIL), and outsourcing best practices.

These free webinars are being organized by the IT Metrics and Productivity Institute (ITMPI), an organization founded by CAI and dedicated to the promotion of best practices in IT.
