Full Sail Graduates Work on OSCAR-Nominated Projects Including This Year's Best Picture Winner, No Country For Old Men
Winter Park, FL (PRWEB) March 5, 2008 -- Outstanding achievements in the fields of film and motion picture were honored at the 80th Academy Awards on February 24, 2008, where 15 graduates from Full Sail Real World Education (www.fullsail.com) were involved in the production of six motion picture releases nominated for an OSCAR Award in ten separate categories.
Continuing to build upon their reputation for excellence, Full Sail graduates have worked on the previous five consecutive OSCAR-winning Best Picture films and a total of eight Best Picture winners over the past 13 years (since 1996). Alumni from programs such as: Film, Digital Arts, Recording Arts and Computer Animation, were all represented on projects for the 80th Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences OSCAR Awards.
Graduates Daniel Cramer, H. Haden Hammond and Darrick Akey earned production credits in the Best Picture category for their work on the film, No Country for Old Men, which took home the OSCAR for Best Picture this year. Also credited on films nominated in the Best Picture category where Christian Labarta for There Will Be Blood starring Daniel Day-Lewis, and Aaron Randall, for his work on Michael Clayton.
Full Sail graduates were represented on many OSCAR-winning films in categories including: Best Picture, Best Directing, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Best Sound Editing, Best Film Editing, Best Visual Effects, Best Sound Mixing, Best Screenplay- Adapted and Best Animated Feature. Contributing as Digital Artists, Sound Mixers or serving in Set Production, Full Sail graduates were responsible for creating some of this year's finest visual masterpieces in addition to No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood including, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, Bourne Ultimatum, Ratatouille, and The Golden Compass.
