InventHelp® Client Invents "E C S S" - An Invention That Could Help Police Defuse High-Speed Car Chases

Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) April 2, 2008 -- InventHelp®, America's largest inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Melbourne, Fla., has designed a projectile that is shot from an air gun that could help police stop a fleeing vehicle. This invention is patented.

The "E C S S" could help police during volatile high-speed police chases. The unit could reduce the occurrence of injury and death to innocent people and officers, often as a result of collisions due to these pursuits. Additionally, the unit would be helpful in decreasing potentially dangerous driving situations, and could offer a hand in eradicating high-speed pursuits.

The "E C S S" would consist of a cylindrical air gun device measuring approximately 6 inches long and 1-1/2 inches in diameter. The hand-held air gun would fire a specialized projectile, which could hold a durable plastic chamber containing a battery, positively charged dart head, negatively charged spikes and a spring mechanism. A user (police officer) would aim at any metal body panel of an offending vehicle and pull the trigger. The air gun mechanism would release the projectile at the target. Once struck, the dart would become embedded in the metal, which would activate the battery. This action would short-circuit the vehicle's electrical system with the positive-negative flow. The vehicle would then stall and would coast to a stop which could enable the police to apprehend the criminal.

InventHelp® is attempting to submit the invention to companies for review. If substantial interest is expressed, the company will attempt to negotiate for a sale or royalties for the inventor.
