Video file sharing is one of the most popular means to communicate your message. Blogs, videos, and social networking taking over as the next generation of content on the web CampusRights.net is a video file sharing community geared towards college students who feel the need to break free of the ultra repressive atmosphere on most college campuses. Campus Rights provides a free video file sharing community that allows more freedom and less censorship. Politically or socially incorrect expressions are encouraged.

Video The Tube - The Best Video Rant" contest starts December 4, 2006.
Members can browse student videos.

"We want student videos to push the envelope, in the pursuit of freedom of expression. We are hoping that we can help bridge the gap of misunderstandings that prevails so rampantly on college campuses around the United States. The current wave of censorship seems to be at an all time high at many video upload sites, censorship creates insensate content. Campus Rights is solidly anti-P.C. However we are not a hate group, far from it. All points of view are welcome, from the far right or the far left or anything in between. We are fortunate to have fair amount of quality advertisers that provide sponsorships for these types of promotions.

The site is inclusive to all students. All of us here at Campus Rights just felt that the typical American male college student is under a great deal of pressure and are becoming intellectually stifled. Rhetoric surrounding some of today's biggest issues on campus can be virtual landmines. Everyone needs a voice. Male students are running out of ways to express themselves without offending. Any form of creative and or political statement is welcomed, no matter how fringe it may be considered. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they come up with this month. This idea has even resonated with such notable personalities such as Billy Bob Thorton and Lady Bunny. Campus Rights was formed as a campus collective. It's an independent alternative to corporate controlled media outlets, that seems to be gobbling up the internet day by day. According to John Fair, there is a subtle left leaning censorship that prevails on the larger video sharing communities. "I would just like to see more of a balance on both sides of the political spectrums. The Video The Tube contest, gives us that chance" said John Fair, Chief Content Officer.

Is Campus Rights a political site?

"We are a free video upload site for student videos. However, politics is life and our members need an environment where they feel they can express themselves without apology. We are affiliated with over 100 colleges and universities across the United States."

The visual medium is powerful, when combine with humor to make a good tube video, it's magic."
