In addition, we would like to track the use of human visitors. This will be accomplished by giving visitors a hand held global positioning system (GPS). When activated GPS units easily track human movement and will take continuous locations. An overlay of bear and human activity patterns in the same area will allow us to determine areas of potential conflict and adapt our management strategies to further protect grizzly bears from people and to protect people from grizzly bears.
